Once the button is released or the finger is lifted from the mobile touchscreen, the snake ceases to utilize its boost. You increase in size by eating small static pellets or consuming smaller player cells while staying clear of larger ones.

Tiny cells can take refuge within a cluster of viruses for safety. A cell exceeding 133 mass that comes into contact with a virus will explode into up to 16 smaller fragments, leaving it highly vulnerable. Viruses are defensive structures on the map.
